Match Report
A 16-7 final five minutes gave us a 4 point win after a close contest throughout the middle quarters. Shepparton jumped put of the gates while we stumbled our way through the first ten minutes and only scored 12 points at 26% shooting. We won quarters 2, 3 and 4 and slowly improved our brand of basketball as the game went on.

Coaches Comments
A slow start was bound to happen after a big changeover of player a in the offseason. Five new faces and only one practice match meant we were going to take some time to find our feet. An improved defensive effort helped seal the deal for our first win of 2017.

Match Report
The team followed the scout very well – playing first class team defence throughout the game. Our defence lead to some great baskets in transition. Candice Rogers was outstanding, shooting an amazing 85% from the field. Tess Feery picked up 15 rebounds and helped spark the team at times when we were struggling. Awesome team win!!

Match Report
A great first half got the Supercats off to a big start leading by around 20. The second half was a different story where the Stingrays knuckled down and came back with everything they had. The supercats kept there cool on the defensive end which was what got them over the line in the end.

Coaches Comments
Was a great start to our season and the first half showed just how good we can be when we stick to our process. The second half was a great test for us and showed us exactly where we need to improve. Was an impressive win and I couldn’t be prouder of the boys.

Match Report
We got out of the blocks quickly hitting a couple of early threes to create some strong momentum. Throughout the 1st and second quarter we were able to force a number of turnovers and find high quality shots to build a 23pt half time lead. The second half saw us maintain a strong edge on the glass and continue to find great shots with sound ball movement, ultimately ending in a comfortable first up win.

Coaches Comments
Team play was the stand out. We created pressure with cohesive defence and found good shots through selfless ball movement. Good first up win that we can build on going into round 2.
