Luina Geelong Supercats Head Coach Leon O’Neill announces the clubs second import signing for 2018.

After a dominant performance at the Aussie Basketball Combine in Philadelphia John Davis signed with the club for the upcoming season and will join DeMarcus Gatlin as he returns for his third straight season.

As part of the winningest four-year run in Towson’s Division I era, Davis has experienced more college Division I victories than any player in school history with 77 … Davis earned second team All-CAA honors following a season in which he ranked fourth in the CAA in defensive rebounds per game (5.44), double-doubles (eight), and rebounds per game (7.6) … He averaged 11.8 points per game and scored in double-figures 19 times to lead the Tigers … He had a season-high 19 points and a career best 17 rebounds in an overtime win over Drexel on Feb. 2 … The 17 rebounds by Davis was tied for the ninth best single performance in program history … Finished his fantastic career, Davis has scored in double figures 56 times and collected 23 double-doubles … Davis finished his career with 1,117 career points (20th all-time in program history) and 713 rebounds (seventh in program history) … He is one of six men’s basketball players in program history to have scored 1,000 career points and finish with at least 700 rebounds.
