The Luina Geelong Supercats SEABL fixture has been release, with the club set to celebrate our SEABL Women’s Championship in Round One against Sydney Uni on Saturday April 7th. The special evening will be the first time our SEABL Women’s Team have played a regular season fixture game after the Men’s game with the guys facing reigning the champions Mt Gambier Pioneers at the special time of 5pm.

SEABL newcomers Diamond Valley head down the highway in Round 6, while we have to wait until the 15th June to see Agnes Emma-Nnopu take to the court for the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence.

With Geelong to host the U18 Australian Junior Championships from April 21 to 28 our teams will have to battle it out on the road in rounds 3, 4 and 5 with the traditional trip to Tasmania a little different this year.

As usual the SEABL season will take a break over the Queens Birthday Long Weekend before we start a run of 6 straight weeks of home games.

There are some tough weekends for our teams this season and they will need everyone’s support to ensure they continue their run of finals, with Mt Gambier away on the 13th of July and Bendigo at home the following night, Coach Leon O’Neill’s season will need to be in good shape. It’s no easier for the women, with back to back road doubles in Rounds 4 and 5 including Sydney Uni in Sydney, followed by the Rush in Ballarat, then the Tassie double, another home/road double in round 8 for the Men and Women facing against Dandenong at home, then Albury away. A final challenge in Round 12 for both teams with Bendigo away before heading home to face Melbourne the following night.

A tough season that our teams are preparing hard for right now…
