From Russia with Love

An announcement of a different kind, as the Supercats are over the moon to announce that NEWLY ENGAGED couple, Alex Bunton and Eric Gaff will both return for season 2017. At 6’6″ for Bunton and 6’10” for Gaff there are few that can spot them on the court and now they are set for a big future together.

Bunton is currently playing in Russia with Moscow Dynamo averaging 10.2ppg and 8.9reb as she continues her rise up the ranks of women’s basketball. Her commitments in Russia will delay her return to the SEABL, but Coach David Herbert is excited to get Alex back on court in late April to early May “last year was her first full year for some time” he said. “Having played a full SEABL season and now a season in Russia, I’m excited to see how dominant she can be under the basket”.

Gaff’s return makes the Supercats men’s defense strong again. He’s a defensive stalwart of the league and over the past couple of years has worked hard to provide Coach Leon O’Neill with additional offensive options. Eric gaives much more the to Supercats than stats alone, his shot blocking and shot changing at the defensive end he gives the rest of his team mates confidence to play their style of game.

Both Gaff and Bunton were immensely popular with the fans last year, with their easy going nature and willingness to help in the community, we are sure Supercat fans will welcome the return of both in 2017.
