GEELONG UNITED VJBL-DOMESTIC EXEMPTION POLICY
It is a requirement for all VJBL, BigV and NBL1 players (outside of marquee players) to play in the Geelong United Basketball domestic competition (GUB).
Players who believe they may be entitled to, or require an exemption from this rule need to complete the online Exemption Request.
Exemptions are not automatically granted and players should continue to participate in the GUB until notified that an exemption is granted or denied.
In general, to be eligible for an exemption, players must have an aggregated total of five or more points using the following table.
The Exemption Committee (Competitions Manager, Director of Pathways & Development, COO & CEO) will consider all reasons for a possible exemption on a case by case basis.
